DUTCH ELM DISEASE IN THE FAMILY TREE

Positron nursery home
Is poker-faced & all alone
Saskatoon’s hot air balloon
Fevers through the crystal loam
Of calabash’s cakewalk dome
And follows lost in purple roam
Reading down Titanic’s foam
She swallows frost not overblown
Trimetric adulation sown in
Wood steel’s final groan and moan.

Analgesic anagram a binary star
Descriptive claws word empennage
Red magnets levitate barrage
Yet never always traveled far
From naked option’s painful bars
Of radiant and lovely scars.
Submersible standoff she’ll never ask
A slam-dunk slam-dance with no mask
On neoclassic pastures expansive task
That shows undeserving winners bask.
